Contact: Jane Bilello
The winner of the 1963 “DEUCE AND A HALF ULTIMATE BUG OUT TRUCK“ is coming from Texas to pick up the Bug Out Truck, guns and gear, at the Land of Sky Gun and Knife Show in Fletcher at 10 AM on Saturday, July 12 in the parking lot of the WNC Agricultural Center. The winner, Scott Badertscher, will pick up the custom built AR-15 from Randys Guns, the Henry Survival Rifle from Capitol Pawn, and the Mossberg shotgun from GreyHawk Armory.
At the conclusion of a Bug Out Truck caravan through Hendersonville on July 4th, the runner-up and winner were drawn by Henderson County Sheriff Charles McDonald at noon in the parking lot of the Great American Dog on Greenville Highway in Hendersonville. Heather Fernandez of Hendersonville was our runner-up. She received a Bug Out Pack from Carolina Readiness Supplies, that contains thirty readiness items and a chance to win the guns, should the winner not qualify to take possession of them. Winner Scott Badertscher was shocked when he received the call. He said he was cajoled by a good friend into donating $20 to a good cause. “I’ve never won anything in my life. I only bought one ticket!”
Many, many thanks to Doug Lack whose effort and creativity made this possible, and to the businesses who supported this effort: Old Grouch’s Military Surplus, Randy’s Guns, GreyHawk Armory, Capitol Pawn, Carolina Readiness, Big Bug Out Trucks, Bear Arms Indoor Shooting Range, BowTie Rods & Customs, Paint Authority, Great American Dog, Cruizers Diner, P.F. Custom Guns, MK Shows, Rex’s Indoor Range, FremontBrown.com.
We are encouraging all to come the Land of Sky Gun and Knife Show at 10AM on Saturday, July 12 to meet Scott and to thank the many businesses and supporters who outfitted the truck with the readiness supplies. The vehicle is stocked with camping gear, canteens, cook stoves, three cases of MRE’s (meals ready to eat), a five gallon fuel can, a pick-axe and shovel, an emergency radio, a fifty-five gallon water storage barrel, two five gallon water bags, a first aid kit, and more. . The “Truck” has a 1989 multi fuel engine, side rail/bench seats, and a ten wheel drive action. The “Truck” climbs both steep terrain and runs completely submerged in water. Guaranteed to run even during an electromagnetic pulse!
Chairman Jane Bilello: “A heartfelt and deep thanks to all who gave their time, effort, and donations to support our mission to replace compromised incumbents with principled men and women who commit to Constitutional authority.” =333 End
